1

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Deshepad ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a church or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

2

Description of Service

Deshepad is a cloud-based church member management platform that provides:

  • Member directory and profile management
  • Attendance tracking with QR code and manual check-in
  • Follow-up coordination and leader assignment
  • Welfare case management
  • Email communication tools (birthday wishes, mass emails)
  • Multi-branch and group hierarchy management
  • Role-based access control for church teams
3

Accounts & Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Ensuring that users you invite have appropriate permissions
  • Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access

Each church account (tenant) is fully isolated. Church administrators are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of member data they enter.

4

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes related to church and community management. You may not:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
  • Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to access other tenants' data or circumvent security measures
  • Use member data for commercial marketing unrelated to church activities
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits designed to ensure fair access for all users
5

Data Ownership & Portability

Your data belongs to you. Specifically:

  • You retain full ownership of all member data, attendance records, and content you create
  • You can export your data at any time in standard formats (XLSX)
  • Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove all your data within 30 days
  • We will never use your church-specific data for purposes other than providing the Service

We believe in data portability. If you ever decide to leave Deshepad, you can take all your data with you. No lock-in, no hostage data.

6

Pricing & Billing

Deshepad offers tiered plans based on church size. The current tiers include a free Seed plan and paid Growth and Harvest plans.

  • Free plans have member count limits as described on our pricing page
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • We will notify you at least 30 days before any price changes
  • You may cancel or downgrade your plan at any time
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support
7

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance, updates, or address technical issues.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned maintenance that may affect availability.

8

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time:

  • You may delete your account through the Settings page or by contacting support
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior
  • Upon termination, we will provide a reasonable window (30 days) to export your data before permanent deletion
9

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
  • We are not responsible for data loss caused by your actions or third-party services you integrate
10

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify account owners via email and update the "Last updated" date on this page.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may close your account.

11

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, and if necessary, through the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
